This page is a continuing tribute to Síofra Katherine Nolan Lambe, our darling daughter who will forever remain in our hearts. She was the sweetest little girl with the kindest soul, and we could not be prouder of her. She brought so much joy and love into our lives.

We invite you to honour Síofra’s memory by sharing a tribute, lighting a candle, or recounting a special moment you had with her in the 'Thoughts' section below. There is also the option to contribute to charities close to our hearts. Our wonderful family and friends are currently engaged in various activities and fundraisers to celebrate Síofra’s life and legacy.

At present, we are trying to raise funds for the The Lullaby Trust who helps families who experience the sudden loss of a baby, providing emotional and practical bereavement support and Great Ormond Street who offer life-saving treatment to seriously ill children.

On Sunday 13th October 2024, we are running the Royal Parks Half Marathon for Great Ormond Street Hospital, in memory of beautiful Síofra Nolan Lambe. In July 2023, the most incredible group of 11 women were brought together having signed ourselves up for the classic ‘Bump and Baby’ class after choosing to embark on a journey of starting a family at a similar time.

Mid-September 2023 came and the first baby of the group was born. Over the next few weeks, the wonderful news of all the babies arriving safely continued. November 4th marked the arrival of Nathalie and Anthony’s twin girls, Annie and Síofra, and that was our group complete: 12 beautiful babies and 22 exhausted parents!

We pretty quickly realised what a great bunch of women we had landed and we will all be forever grateful for that. Having each other during our first post-partum months was so invaluable. We’d all meet up for coffee, saying we’d meet at 10am but no one managing to get out the house until 1pm to promptly need to feed or change a bum immediately.

One thing we all felt was nothing short of amazement for Nathalie, arriving with her double buggy, having come by bus and who’d have done what we’d all done the night before twice over…Nathalie was our hero. What’s more, is the pride poured out of her over her gorgeous twin girls.

Please help us in raising money to support GOSH, who tended to Síofra, and continue to treat other children with such dignity and care.”

Síofra’s Story:

Síofra was a healthy and bonnie baby. After showing signs of feeling slightly unwell, we took her to our local hospital. Her condition, however, worsened rapidly, and within 24 hours, she was transferred to Great Ormond Street Hospital, where she received the best possible care from their incredible teams. Tests revealed she had contracted a rare and aggressive form of strep, which wasn’t covered by the vaccine. Despite showing her special Síofra strength for a week, Síofra’s condition developed into pneumococcal sepsis. On April 21st, at just 5 and a half months old, our precious Síofra passed away peacefully. Our beautiful Síofra was taken from us far too soon.

Remembering Síofra:

Síofra, meaning ‘fairy’ in Gaelic, will always be remembered for her kind, playful nature, her adorable giggle, the sparkle in her beautiful blue eyes, and the bravery that inspired everyone around her. Even though she was only a few minutes older, she embraced her role as the "big" twin sister to Annie and the two shared a bond that was truly magical and inseparable. Though her life was brief, Síofra made an unforgettable impact, filling our lives with joy as she experienced countless cuddles and adventures with family and friends. As parents, we are heartbroken, but we are also immensely proud of our daughter. Her courage continues to inspire us as a family, and we are committed to celebrating her legacy by living life to its fullest, as she taught us all to do.

To honour her memory, we always think of her when we see blue and love to wear something blue when we can, reminding us of her beautiful big, blue eyes.

With all our love, Nathalie, Anthony and Annie xxx
